Thinking clearly about peptide claims · Part 2: Ten questions to ask about any claim
Questions about the evidence (5 to 8)
Lesson 11.2.2 · 7 min read · Professional plan
What you'll learn
- Ask first: was it tested in people? Animal and cell results alone don't support a health claim.
- Look for a comparison group. Without one, natural recovery or the placebo effect can't be ruled out.
- Randomized, controlled human trials are the standard the FTC generally expects for health claims.
- One study rarely proves anything. Check effect size, length, funding and whether others repeated it.
